5th Grade Celebration Ceremony and YOU!
It’s hard to believe, but reality is sinking in. Our 5th grade children are in their final semester at Centennial, and graduation is a few months away. The success of the celebration ceremony is greatly dependent upon parent volunteers. The Ceremony is funded by the PTA. However, parent volunteers are a crucial component to pulling off a memorable evening for the students and their families.
The following Committee Chairmen are needed to make this a wonderful event:
Invitation Chair - In the past, a talented parent volunteer, with knowledge of graphic design, has created a keepsake program. Another option is that if you should know of anyone via friends, family, or work, who might do graphic design as a business, perhaps they can work within our budget. Sample programs from prior years are available as a guideline.
Self Portrait Chair - Chairman works closely with Ms. Kanso.
Consent Chair - All students participating must complete a consent form. It contains details about the video, program, t-shirt, etc. A sample form is available as a guideline.
Video Production Chair - In the past, the 5th grade video consisted of a slideshow that included a baby picture and current picture of each student. It also included a montage of candid photos from Centennial events held throughout the school year. Parent volunteers, with knowledge of slide show production, created a heart-warming video for all to enjoy at the ceremony. If you know of anyone via friends, family, or work, who might work in this line of business, perhaps they can work within our budget. Prior year videos are available as a guideline.
Music Program T-Shirts Chair - Ms. Nalley oversees the student artwork contest for the shirt worn by all 5th grade students at the graduation ceremony. Chairman works closely with Ms. Nalley.
Certificate of Completion Chair - Chairman is responsible for selecting and printing the design of the “Graduation Certificates” and assuring that each student's name is spelled properly on the certificate.
Please consider volunteering for this special event in your child’s life. Without parent volunteers, the Ceremony would not be possible.
