2019-2020 PISD VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

We LOVE our Centennial volunteers and we LOVE keeping our Comets safe! Every year volunteers must (re)apply to be considered for any volunteer opportunity. Go to PISD's Volunteer Application website and complete your registration form today.

Important reminders:

Select "Centennial Elementary" and any other schools you'll be volunteering at on the JOBS tab.
Remind your spouse or other adult family members who would like to volunteer to complete the application at this time, too!
It can take a few weeks for applications to be approved during this time of year, so (re)apply today if you're interested in volunteering when school starts.

CENTENNIAL STUDENT REGISTRATION

Whether you are a returning Comet or new to Centennial, you'll find everything you need to know about back-to-school student registration below. Please do not overlook this important step!

RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION

RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION INFORMATION must be updated between Wednesday, July 24th and Friday, August 2nd so class lists can be completed and teacher assignments shared on August 8th.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

2019-2020 new student registration will be July 24th and 25th from 9-11am, and 1-3pm at Centennial Elementary.

Complete the New Student Enrollment forms found HERE. Select the forms for the 2019-2020 School Year. Complete, then print (single-sided) and bring these forms and the following documents with you to enroll:

Childâ€™s Original Birth Certificate
Childâ€™s Social Security Card (if available)
Immunization Forms with doctorâ€™s signature or health department stamp on the form.
Proof of Residency
- Apartment - Current lease agreement that contains the signatures of both the parent/guardians and the apartment complex management, indicated a valid contract.
- House - Current gas or electric bill.
Parent or guardianâ€™s Government Issued ID (Driverâ€™s License, Passport)

Please share this information with new families or incoming Kindergarteners who have not already registered. New student registration is a critical component for classroom planning!

INCOMING KINDERGARTEN PLAY DATE

The Centennial PTA is pleased to share a play date for incoming Kindergarten Comets and their families. Not only is this an opportunity for the Kinder Comets to meet some new friends, it is also a wonderful opportunity for new families to ask current Centennial families any questions they may have about the upcoming school year!

Beat the hear and raise money for our PTA! Join your friends or meet some new friends at Hawaiian Falls in The Colony for a Back to School Splash! DOWNLOAD THIS FLIER for hours and discounted ticket pricing.

$5 from each ticket will be donated back to our PTA.

FLIP FLOPS & BOX TOPS

Just because it's summer doesn't mean you should forget about collecting those Box Tops! Each Box Top clipped and submitted earns a $0.10 donation to our school. Box Tops really add up to make an impact on our school!

July 1: PISD security clearance for all volunteers opens for the 2019-2020 school year. Plano ISD policy requires all volunteers to complete a security clearance application every school year.

July 21: Kindergarten Meet & Greet at Paciugo Gelato, 3 to 4:30 pm

July 24 & 25: New student registration - 9am to 11am or 1pm to 3 pm

July 24 to August 2: Complete returning student registration on Parent Portal

August 1: "Sign Up Centennial" online registration and payment for Centennial PTA membership, school supplies, yearbooks, programs and more!

August 8: Classroom Teachers released on Parent Portal at Midnight.

August 9: Meet the Teacher (grades 1-5 only) 7:30am-8:30am in the classrooms AND Kinder Kamp (kindergarten only) 8:30am-9:30am in the Library. Stop by Centennial GYM from 8 am to 10 am to "Sign-Up Centennial" in person!

August 12: First Day of School, 7:45 am to 2:45 pm

August 13: Newcomer Coffee, 8:45 to 9:15 am followed by PTA General Meeting, 9:15 am
