All new & returning students must update their registration through Parent Portal. The Centennial Administration asks that your returning student registration be updated in Parent Portal between 7/26 and 8/3. CraniaLogix CraniaLogix develops critical thinking skills, collaboration, risk-taking, and a growth mindset through fun, engaging games and activities. You can expect your child to be involved in activities such as strategy games, improv, instant challenges, STEAM exploration, logic puzzles and more! Power Kids PowerKids is a uniquely creative and fun fitness experiences for all ages. The professional coaches are full of energy as they work with students to develop skills, self-esteem, and confidence to be healthy and fit for a lifetime. PowerKids includes age-appropriate gross motor development and refinement, all types of sports skills, games, and obstacle courses. Chess This year, Centennial PTA is excited to bring two days of Chess to Centennial to accommodate the high demand! We'll be providing a Monday and Tuesday Chess program, led by Chess Grandmasters, the highest title a chess player can attain! While both Monday & Tuesday Chess classes are open to everyone, we suggest BEGINNERS enroll in the Tuesday's smaller class for more in-depth instruction. We will have an orientation meeting for new volunteers on August 14. This will take place directly after the PTA General Meeting scheduled for 8/14 at 9:15 am in the Cafeteria. We will give instructions on how to check in and the various volunteer opportunities in the school. If you have any questions, please contact Julie Traub at vp.volunteers@centennialpta.net Thank you to our new grade-level volunteer coordinators for 2018-2019: Kindergarten- Christy Byerly First Grade- Ashley Peters Second Grade- Chantal Boeckman We are still looking for volunteer coordinators for Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades. If you are interested in helping with this position, please contact Julie Traub at vp.volunteers@centennialpta.net 
We LOVE our Centennial Volunteers! Please take a moment today to submit your application as a 2018-2019 Volunteer. Go to PISD's Volunteer Application website and complete your registration form. All volunteers must complete this process every year, including returning volunteers. The approval process can take several weeks to complete due to the volume of applicants. Submitting now is a great way to ensure that you will be approved when school starts. If you are volunteering at more than one school, you may save time by selecting all the locations on the "Jobs" tab, but please make sure you select Centennial Elementary. If your spouse or other adult family members would like to volunteer during the year, please have them complete the application at this time as well. Back-to-School Splash! Let's beat the heat together and raise $$ for our PTA! Join your friends or meet some new friends at Hawaiian Falls in The Colony for a Back to School Splash! Use the email below to purchase your DISCOUNTED TICKETS and join us for a PRIVATE PARTY from 6:30-9:30 pm. $5 from each ticket will be donated back to our PTA. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Hawaiian Falls - The Colony: 4400 Paige Road, The Colony 75056
- Park opens: 10:30 am – use your admission ticket ALL DAY
- Park re-opens for a PTA private party: 6:30-9:30 pm – use your wristband to re-enter
- $15 – Park admission
- $20 – Park admission with unlimited drink
- $25 – Park admission with unlimited drink and a walk up meal
- $10 – Coolers with non-commercial food
- Children under 2 years old – FREE During the private party (6:30-9:30 pm)
- Each PTA receives access to:
- a cabana to decorate with school spirit
- FREE Wi-fi (In case you want to pre-sell school supplies or spirit items.)
