Multicultural Family Night is TONIGHT! 
See live performances and bring your appetite! In addition to samples from all over the world, there will be vendors selling food for dinner, dessert, or just a drink! O'Desi Aroma, Jasmine Cafe, and Bobaddiction will bring flavors that are sure to delight the whole family! From Falafel to Shawerma, Samosas to Biryani, and Boba Tea to Mochi, there is something for every taste! YUM! |

STAAR Testing is NEXT WEEK! Just a friendly reminder that STAAR Testing is next week. There will be NO after-school programs or volunteers next week. Let's encourage our students to get plenty of rest, eat a healthy breakfast and try their BEST! |

As a reward for exceeding the Comet Campaign goal of $12,000, all students got to vote for their choice of challenge for Principal Stewart! The students voted between slime, duck tape or a silly costume. The winning vote was.... DUCK TAPING PRINCIPAL STEWART TO A WALL!! 
Special thanks to Principal Stewart for being such a good sport for a good cause and for good fun! Be sure to ask your student how they voted!

Centennial Silent Auction 4/16 to 4/20
 Every spring, the Centennial PTA hosts a silent online auction offering special experiences with the Centennial teachers and staff! Ice cream and pizza parties with your teacher, Coaches vs. Kids Basketball game, painting with a treat, or borrowing the entire set of Bluebonnet books over the summer, just to name a few. There is something for every student (and parent!) to enjoy!
In addition to the memorable experiences for your student, there will be restaurant gift cards, BMW car rental, and the two remaining reserved parking spots for the 2018/2019 school year auctioned !
All bidding takes place online, on your computer or on an app you can downloan on your phone. More details about the site and app will come home as the auction approaches. Bidding opens on Monday, 4/16 at 7am, and ENDS at 2pm on Friday, 4/20/18. Get in on the action and excitement!

Spring Family Sock Hop Picnic April 20th  
Mark your calendars for a sock hoppin' good time with Centennial families! April 20th is our Annual PTA Spring Picnic. This year the theme will be a Family Sock Hop - come rockin' your 50's attire! We'll have games, inflatables, music, dancing and treats. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic or purchase dinner and sno cones from food trucks! More information will be coming home as the date approaches. |

Spring Spirit Wear is now available for sale on our PTA Membership Toolkit. We've got fabulous shirts, made of soft Bella Canvas or Performance Athletic material, perfectly priced between $16 and $20. All designs are available in Adult sizes, too, so pick up a some spirit wear for yourself, too!     Paper order forms are coming home TODAY! The online order form is open NOW. Staff Appreciation Casseroles  Staff Appreciation Week is May 7th, and one of the many special treats the PTA and parents of Centennial provide for the Centennial staff is a Central Market prepared dinner for their family!
A tag will be placed on every casserole listing all families donating a casserole. When you purchase a casserole, each Centennial staff member will receive one casserole of their choice, salad, and chocolate chunk cookies. The Casserole Order Form will be available on our PTA website beginning Monday, April 9th. The deadline to order a casserole is Friday, April 27th. Casseroles will cost $26 each. Bricks in Progress!
Pardon the dust and work going on in front of the 100-Year-Wall at Centennial, near the front entrance! The PTA is installing the bricks ordered by Centennial families in the Fall. Please be mindful of the work going on in that area and keep your children away from the brick work for their own safety. We're so excited to see the final project when it is complete - a lasting legacy at Centennial. |
