VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

Kimi Hutson is our volunteer of the month for November!  Congratulations, Kimi!

Kimi is the mom to two sweet, active boys, Jacob, in 1st grade and Kyle, in Kindergarten.  This is Kimi's third year volunteering at Centennial.

Kimi loves to volunteer in Big Centers, the library and the workroom.

Kimi loves being able to interact with the students in Big Centers and library. She loves that every new day brings with it new kiddos and different experiences. It definitely keeps Kimi on her toes!

While volunteering in workroom is generally cutting and pulling workbook pages, it is Kimi's hope that by helping with these tasks, the teachers are able to spend less time after school working and more time at home with their families.  What an amazing outlook, Kimi!

Thank you so much for your time and passion, Kimi! Centennial Comets appreciate your support. #DifferenceMaker

 CENTENNIAL OUTREACH UPDATES

'Tis the season of giving thanks, and giving to those in need. Find more information about the Centennial Outreach efforts below.

CENTENNIAL TOY DRIVE THROUGH DEC. 11

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FOOD DRIVE PARTICIPATION!

Thanks to the many families who donated food during the Outreach Food Drive before Thanksgiving.  Centennial collected close to 300 non-perishable food items, with 2nd grade coming in first place, collecting 114 containers of rice and beans! Those 2nd graders are going to love their EXTRA RECESS!  Thanks to everyone who participated.  Comets really are #DifferenceMakers.

Please contact the PTA Outreach Chair, Kelly, with any questions: Outreach@CentennialPTA.net

UNDERSTANDING COGAT MEETING, 12/5

COGAT scores have been released.  Have you ever wondered what COGAT testing is, or how to understand your student's score?

School Counselor, Ms. Leven, will be hosting a parent workshop on Thursday, 12/5 from 3:00 - 3:30 pm to share information on how to interpret your child's score.

Click HERE to learn more about how to locate your child’s score today.

WINTER PARTIES

Winter parties will be on Thursday, 12/19, times as follows:

Kinder & 4th: 1:00-1:30

2nd & 3rd: 1:15-1:45

1st & 5th: 1:45-2:15

The Grade Level Room Representatives have worked hard to plan wonderful parties for each grade-level. They will need the support of several volunteers in every classroom to make these parties a success!  Please consider signing up to help during your student's classroom party on the WINTER PARTY VOLUNTEER FORM.

RSVP Form for attendees (not volunteers) will be shared next week.

Questions? Contact the Room Representative Chair, Tami at RoomReps@CentennialPTA.net.
