A Message from our PTA President

Hello Centennial PTA Members,

It is hard to believe that December is here!  The first three and a half months of this school year have passed in the blink of an eye.  Before the excitement and activities of winter break begin, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your membership and support thus far this school year.  Though Thanksgiving is behind us, I can't help but continuously give thanks for the countless ways you've supported the various programs organized by our PTA this year.  Whether you have given your time by volunteering, or given financially through  PTA membership dues and/or donations, you've made a difference in the education experience for all Centennial Comets.  Thanks to your support and energy, our PTA has accomplished the following in these first few months:

Built community within Centennial through parent coffees, playground play dates,  the Fall picnic, Lunch with a Loved One, the Color Run, Spirit Wear, and our Family Fun BINGO Night.

Reached out to support our surrounding community with Peanut Butter Drive, Canned Food Drive, and the Holiday Toy Drive.

Supported our fantastic Centennial staff with a back-to-school luncheon, personalized birthday treats, the purchase of an additional Refrigerator for the staff lounge, and countless hours spent volunteering in the workroom, big centers, library and lunchroom.

Enriched the educational experience of our students through our Reflections program,  Watch DOGS program, Red Ribbon Week, author visit & writing workshop, classroom apps and school supplies, field trips, and most recently through the installation of a GAGA Ball court on the playground and completion of our first Special & Gifted Inclusion Day.

There is so much to celebrate, and still more to come! Holiday parties, Multicultural night, Texas History Day and Field Day are all in the months ahead!  Thank you for your participation and passion for the mission of our PTA - to make every child's potential a reality.

Warmest Winter Wishes,

Ashley Hamilton

Centennial Elementary PTA President

Congratulations to Mai Pham!

Congratulations to our volunteer of the month, Mai Pham! Mai has three kids, Maddy (10), Luke (8), and Michael (5). She has been volunteering at Centennial for five years. Her favorite places to volunteer are Big Centers and the Library. She also has great memories of chaperoning her kids on field trips to the Dallas Zoo, Arboretum, and the Outdoor Learning Center. We are so grateful for all of your time Mai! #DifferenceMaker

Don't forget the Holiday Toy Drive

ENDS TOMORROW!!
