Dearest Centennial families, 

Welcome back to all of our returning families and a big welcome for our new families to our Centennial PTA Community! 

Thank you to all of our generous families during the 2021/2022 school year. Each year our Centennial PTA volunteers work diligently to support our students by donating money, time and goods.  This year will continue to look different for our staff and students due to the various changes necessary to keep our children and teachers safe at school. 

Our goal this year is to build a stronger community and find ways to bring us together in whatever way we can. We will continue to enrich our student's elementary educational experience and show our appreciation as often as possible to our teachers and staff who are working incredibly hard this year. We hope to find creative ways to engage our community and welcome suggestions for safe and fun activities for families to participate in to strengthen our Centennial bonds! 

This year you will receive an email newsletter monthly highlighting past events as well as providing information on future events and requests if volunteers are needed etc. This will be published to the website and the Facebook group as well. We hope this will provide a great resource so you don't miss out on any of the exciting events we have planned. Please look for our newsletters every Thursday. 

PTA Donations:

We are requesting that you consider making a monetary donation to the Centennial Elementary School PTA. We are a 501 (c) 3, non-profit organization. We are a volunteer organization and there is no monetary compensation to anyone who volunteers in any capacity with the Centennial PTA.

Room Parent  & Grade Room Rep Coordinator Volunteers – This form is due August 19th!

Please fill this form out if you would like to be a room parent in your child’s classroom or a Grade Room Rep Coordinator. 

This year we will assign two Room Parents to each classroom as well as one Grade Coordinator for each grade to support the teacher as needed. 

ALL Volunteers must complete the PISD online volunteer application EACH YEAR in order to work with our students. Please take a moment to complete it today by clicking here.

The Centennial PTA strives to get information to you regarding happenings at school and events occurring throughout the year and we will be utilizing both email as well as our facebook group and Instagram page to help reach people in multiple ways.  The WATCH D.O.G.S. shirt is requied and important for the safety of our children and the staff.  It identifies you as a member of WATCH D.O.G.S. to students, staff, and security.

It's ALMOST time for fall enrichment class registration!  

Online registration for TUESDAY Art Enrichment & Chess program and THURSDAY STEM - Bubbles, Smoke, and Chemistry for grades 1-2 and Digital Robotics- Music Video Creation For grades 3-5 begins at 6 am on Monday, August 22nd.

Space is limited and programs are filled on a first come, first served basis, so don't delay! Deadline for After school registration is August 26th or until space is filled.

 Don't forget to CONFIRM your purchase and look for an email receipt of registration to ensure you successfully completed the process.  

Remember!  If you decide to Enroll a Child to Participate in our After School Programs, at least one parent will be required to sign up for a parent volunteer shift as part of the after-school enrichment program. Volunteer activities include help with check-in, snacks, clean-up and check-out.
