NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT INFORMATION FOR 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR

Online registration for NEW students to Plano ISD begins March 21. Registration is for the 2022-2023 school year and is for all grade levels, except preK, which begins registration on April 4.

· New Student Enrollment (kindergarten-12th grade): Begins March 21, 2022

· Head Start Roundup: March 21 and 22, 2022

· PreK enrollment: Begins on April 4, 2022

To register or for more information about Plano ISD enrollment, visit www.pisd.edu/enrollment.

Students currently in the district should not enroll. Annual registration occurs in the summer through Parent Portal.

PTA SPONSORED STUDENT PUBLISHING KIT

Centennial is again participating in a writing program through a company called Studentreasures Publishing. All of our students get to become published authors!

We are so excited that so many of our students are participating this year! Most of your children received their kits last week however some of you may be receiving yours this week as we ran out and had to order more.

If you do not receive your kit by Friday 3/25, please email Anya Reister at publishing@centennialpta.net.

The kits submission deadline has been extended to April 11^th. Please return the completed kits to your child’s teacher.

CENTENNIAL MULTICULTURAL SPRING FAMILY NIGHT

SAVE THE DATE- FRIDAY, APRIL 8TH FROM 5-7pm

Come celebrate the cultural diversity in our Centennial Community and volunteer to participate in the celebration on the evening on Friday April 8th! This is a fun opportunity for your children to share live cultural performances, and for parents to create table displays to showcase your heritage! There will be food trucks, music, and entertainment!!

CENTENNIAL ELEMENTARY PTA SPRING ONLINE AUCTION

Looking for a fun weekend getaway at a hotel or Lake front AirBNB, planning birthday parties, looking for a quick dinner fix? The Centennial Spring Online Auction has so many great auction items! SPRING 2022 TUESDAY AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT - ARTFUL EXPLORATIONS

Give your young artist an opportunity to peak their interest in fine art, and gain enthusiasm by the confidence derived from the very first lesson! Step-by-Step instruction will teach students about color theory, brush strokes, perspective, and more using oil and acrylic paint.

Students will complete 1 amazing painting each week in class! Class fee includes 8x10 Scholastic canvases coming home each week. All art supplies provided; oil paints, palette, brushes, canvas, and easel. An apron will be provided in class for the child but it is highly RECOMMENDED the child wear or bring an old t-shirt to go over their clothes!

Cost: $140 per semester (payable via Membership Toolkit when registering)
Days: Tuesday 2:50 - 3:50 pm

Deadline for Artful Explorations Painting registration is 3/27 @ midnight or until space is filled (Space is limisted to 25 students)

PLANO WEST WILL BE HOSTING TENNIS CAMPS THIS SUMMER

Plano West will be hosting 2 tennis camps this summer, and we’d love to have your children involved.

Our first camp is May 30 – June 3
Our second camp is July 18 – 22
Each camp will run Monday-Friday from 8am-11am
The cost for the camp is $250 and includes a camp T-shirt

BIG CENTER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Kindergarten "Big Centers" is a great way to get involved and help the teachers! During Big Centers you will be asked to assist the children with various art projects. Shifts run Tuesday-Friday, from 11:15-1:05. You will have the opportunity to work with each kindergarten class and help in the teacher workroom during each shift.
