STEM CHALLENGE AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT (THURSDAYS)

REGISTRATION BEGINS FRIDAY, AUGUST 20TH AND ENDS THURSDAY, AUGUST 26TH

Kids are natural engineers! Kids dive into Play Well STEM classes and exercise their innate gift for building. They come away understanding fundamental principles of engineering and physics. The experience boosts their confidence, creativity and ability to collaborate. Kids can't get enough!

There are three Thursday after school enrichment programs open to Centennial students:

My First STEM Club (K-1) - 20 Student Capacity

NASA Academy Future Space Explorers (2-3) - 20 Student Capacity

CODE:BOT Coding & Digital Robotics (4-5) - 20 Student Capacity

No more than ONE program may be selected per student.

If you decide to Enroll a Child to Participate in our After School Programs, at least one parent will be required to sign up for a parent volunteer shift as part of the after-school enrichment program. Volunteer activities include help with check-in, snacks, clean-up, and check-out.

STEM Challenge Fall Details:

Cost: $225 per semester (payable via Membership Toolkit when registering)
Days: Thursday 2:50 - 4:00 pm
2021 Fall Session - 12 weeks
- Sept 9, 16, 23, Oct 7, 14, 21,28, Nov4, 11, 18 and Dec 2 and 9th.
- Blackout dates; Sept 30, Nov 25th

In accordance with United States Department of Agriculture guidance, Plano ISD will offer all students access to free breakfast and lunch every school day during the 2021-22 academic year, regardless of household income. Buy Your School Supplies BY AUGUST 27TH...

3 Easy Steps:

- Log into the Centennial Parent Portal and fill out the current paperwork HERE

- Click on the tab labeled Order / Volunteer Forms and scroll down to online order forms/enrollment.

- Find the tab to purchase your school supplies, purchased school supplies will be delivered to your child's assigned classroom teacher.

8) Update your PISD Parent Portal InformationHERE between 7/26 & 8/3. For instructions on how to update the PISD Parent Portal, click HERE.

9) Complete the PISDVolunteerApplication HERE. Remember this application must be renewed every school year for anyone who plans to volunteer during the 2021-2022 school year. Please select Centennial Elementary for the Job Location on your application.

10) Order your 2021-2022 School Supplies HERE by Friday, August 27th to be delivered to your child's classroom

PSHS MILITARY APPRECIATION GAME - 8/27

After a year hiatus, Plano Senior High School will once again have a football game designated as a Military Appreciation Game. This year, at our 8/27 game against Byron Nelson, we will be recognizing the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and the War on Terrorism.

If you have a family member who is a Plano ISD alum, and has served in any of the branches of military service since 9/11, please send bryan.spiritus@pisd.edu their picture in .jpg format along with their name and we will be running a slide show with their pictures on the jumbotron at Clark Stadium.

BACK TO SCHOOL SPLASH AT HAWAIIAN FALLS

Save the date for the annual Back to School Splash at Hawaiian Falls hosted by the Plano ISD PTA! The 2021-2022 Back to School Splash will be on September 5th, 2021. Be sure to tell them you're with the Centennial PTA when you purchase your tickets - $5 from each ticket purchased will get donated to our PTA!
