One of the most important items on the agenda is a general membership vote on the slate of 2020-2021 PTA Officers. Please see the 2020-2021 Officer Slate submitted by the Nominating Committee:

The 2020 Comet Campaign finished strong, raising over $11,700 to support Centennial PTA programs and fund Educational Enhancement Grants.  Huge thanks to the families who generously contributed to the 2020 Comet Campaign.

5TH GRADE CELEBRATION

Through this unprecedented time, we would still love to celebrate our 5th Graders with an End of Year Celebration!  Each year, with funding from the PTA, memorabilia items are created for 5th graders by parent volunteers.  This includes a downloadable copy of the Graduation Media Presentation, which will be available for download at the end of May. 
 
In order for your child’s name to be included in the media presentation, please take a moment to complete the Google Form below no later than May 8th. If you have more than one 5th grader, please fill out a separate form for each child. 
 
 
Part of the media presentation involves pictures of your 5th grader. His or her face must be clearly visible, and he or she must be the only person in the pictures. We are asking for the following:
 
  1. Baby picture - Toddler or preschool pictures (age 2-4 years) preferred.
  2. Recent picture - If you do not submit a current photo, we will use their yearbook photo.
  3. Picture of finished self-portrait
  4. What they want to be when they grow up (In case it’s not clear in portrait) 
 
Instructions for submitting photos were sent from your homeroom teacher and can also be found HERE.  ONLY photos stored on the Homeroom Teacher Dropbox will be used for the media presentation. Do not email photos. 
 
Photos are due no later than Friday, May 8th.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION OPEN

 

PISD has opened online Kindergarten Registration for the 2020-2021 school year!

If your child will be 5 years old on your before September 1st, 2020, you can find all necessary registration steps on the PISD Kindergarten Registration Website.


Completed kindergarten roundup enrollment forms and the following items must be e-mailed to the Centennial campus registrar at Centennial.Registration@PISD.edu.

  • Child's original birth certificate
  • Child's original social security card (if available)
  • Parent / Guardian valid driver's license or state issued ID 
  • Child's current immunization record
  • Proof of address (current gas, water, electric bill or lease agreement)

Parents do NOT need to bring anything to the campus. Campus secretaries will be able to reply to all parent emails remotely for now. Thanks for your understanding!

 READING PROGRAM RESULTS

YEARBOOK & PUBLISHING KIT DISTRIBUTION

 


The PTA is working with school administration to determine a safe process for distributing purchased yearbooks and publishing kits after they arrive.  Printing processes for both have been impacted by the COVID-19 response.
