VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTHMichelle Peters is our Volunteer of the Month for February! Congratulations, and THANK YOU, Michelle! Michelle has three amazing sons! William (12) attends Renner Middle School, and twins Charlie (6) and Sam (6) are currently in Kindergarten at Centennial. This is her first year at Centennial and thus far she is thrilled with the staff, teachers, and parents! Despite her short tenure at Centennial, Michelle has had quite a bit of experience volunteering at our school! Some of her favorite volunteer experiences from this year have included Kindergarten lunch, class party crafts, Big Centers, and Texas Day pony production. Michelle LOVES volunteering in the Library because she enjoys helping students choose books, complete their activity and check out books. Michelle feels that choosing the right book is so important for Kindergarteners who are learning to read. She hopes this special time with students will help encourage the same love of reading that is so important and rewarding for her family. We couldn't agree more, Michelle! Thank you so much for your time, Michelle! Centennial Comets appreciate your support. #Differencemaker |

AUTHOR VISIT & READING PROGRAMSSHAKESPEARE AT CENTENNIAL
Last week Centennial PTA brought Shakespeare to the students of Centennial! Students were treated to an interactive and educational performance of several of Shakespeare's masterpieces, with the added bonus of some modern interpretation. By a show of hands at the artist visit last week, the majority of Centennial kids would love to learn more about William Shakespeare, or go see one of his plays. Here's a " Shakespeare on the Go! Study Guide" which also contains some post-show activities.
